The tour itinerary is given below
Day 01: Arrive at Bhubaneshwar
The beautiful tribal tour commences from Bhubaneshwar. Arrive at Bhubaneshwar airport and there our representative will be present to greet you. From there he will escort you to the hotel area and help you check in the hotel and settle well. After sometime set out to visit Lingaraj Temple, Dhaulagiri, Rajarani Temple, Parashurameshvara, Mukteshwara Temple and Vaital Deul Temple. Rest of the day is kept for leisure so enjoy and relax the lovely ambience of the city. Spent the night at the hotel , after dinner.
Day 02: Bhubaneshwar- Baliguda
In the morning, after breakfast set out for a long drive to Beliguda. The distance is around 276 kms and on the way visit the beautiful Phulbani with extraordinary scenic beauty. The small village remains encircles with lush greenery and cascading water bodies enhancing the charisma of the place. On the way visit the tribal villages and get to know the lifestyle and living conditions of these people. Later reach Baliguda and check into a hotel for dinner and night stay.
Day 03: Baliguda- Rayagada
The next day after breakfast hit the roads to reach Rayagada. On the way take a halt at Tumudibandha and Belghar. Belghar is famous for being the abode of the Kutia Kondh which has successfully inscripted their names in the pages of history for their human sacrifice. The greatest beauty of this tribe is that they love to enjoy and remains cheerful always. They are concerned about only the present and seldom plan for future. Reaching Raygada, check in a hotel for night stay.
Day 04: Rayagada- Jeypore
The fourth day of the tour is scheduled for visiting the jeypore. In the morning have an excellent healthy breakfast at the hotel and set out to visit Chatlkona where travel a walking distance to enjoy the amazing Dongria Kondh tribes and enjoy the weekly market over there. If seems interesting, one can buy tribal products for home décor and gifting purpose. These are cheap yet built with supreme precision. Living in Niyamgiri hills they are considered as the most primitive tribes. Fashion is quite prominent among the people of Kondh tribes as both men and women prefer to wear ear ring , nose ring and keep long hairs. Their main occupation is horticulture. A versatile range of fruits are available here. On the way also visit Paroja tribes which are also prominent. After reaching Jeypore check in a hotel for night stay.
Day 05: Jeypore Visit
Post breakfast set out to explore the exclusive tribal markets organized by Didayee, Gadhaba and Bonda tribes. A versatile collection of goods are available in these markets. Enjoy the exclusive dance performance by the Gadhaba tribal people and do shopping as per your preference. At night return back to the hotel for stay.
Day 06: Jeypore- Koraput
Post breakfast set out to visit the villages of the Paraja tribes and know more about these people. They also have a weekly tribal jewellery market which is equally interesting. After the visit went out to explore the Tribal Museum and then the pious Jagannath Temple constructed in 1972 and is a replica of the Jagannath temple of Puri.
Day 07: Koraput
After breakfast the following day set out to visit Dhuruba village and then Kotpad village which are quite famous for being the home of tribal weavers. Visit the village and explore their hand works which are amazing considering the design and precision. After the tour, return to hotel for night stay
Day 08: Koraput –Gopalpur on Sea
Post breakfast set out for a drive to Gopalpur on Sea. It’s a long drive of 348kms so leave early. On the way visit the Chandragiri Tibetan Settlement. In 1963 about 600 Tibetan refugees came to this land and settled in the fertile valley of Chandragiri. The monastery of Padma Sambhava Maha vihara built in 2009 based here was inaurgated by Dalai Lama Himself. It has 300 monks living here. On the way the second halt be the Taptapani hot Sulpher Spring area which is extremely eye arresting and mesmerizing to visualize. After this it’s a drive straight to Gopalpur on sea and there check into a hotel for night stay.
Day 09: Gopalpur on Sea- Bhubaneshwar
After breakfast, drive to Bhubaneshwar for a distance of 174kms. From Bhubaneshwar board a flight to homeland with lovely memories of the rich culture and tradition of the tribal India.
