Ranthambore National Park Information Guide

There is absolutely no doubt about the fact that Ranthambore National Park is India’s most sought after national parks. But it is not just popular in India. Tourists from international locations flock to this park to catch a glimpse of the rare tigers strolling leisurely in the wild. Rathambore sees its major visitors from the Northern part of India. It is located in the Indian state of Rajasthan in the Sawai Madhopur district. It is barely 130 km from Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan. In the olden times, this park used to be the hunting place for the Maharajs and royalties from Jaipur. The lush green beauty stretching over several miles and queer wildlife make this place truly incredible. You also get to see beautiful hills, lovely lakes, smudges of rock, tranquil ponds, and attractive ravines.

The wildlife of Rathambore offers unique beauty and when you see it closely the experience is more than thrilling. The name to this park has been given after the marvellous fort, which were earlier named after the two hills namely Ran and Thambore.

Wildlife safari by truck or jeep is one of the major attractions of this place. In fact, these are the only options to scour the national park. Tigers, crocodile, antelopes, and a number of other wild animals are waiting to be seen here.
