Bhuj City Information Guide

Bhuj is one of the most important cities of the Kutch region of Indian state Gujarat. It is also known as the Jaisalmer of Gujrat. The name of this city is derived from the Bhujiyo Dungar hummock which is just three kilometres away from the city centre.

Bhuj has always been the heaven for those tourists who are looking to buy some traditional Guajarati handicrafts. The intricately embroidered clothes are the speciality of this region. The houses and temples of this city are excellent illustrations of the prime Guajarati construction style. After being shattered by the massive earthquake of 2001, the city has now almost reverted back to its original splendour.
