Samode City Information Guide

Located at 42 kilometres away from Jaipur, the Pink City, away from the hustle and bustle of the city life, lays the tranquil village of Samode, best known for its rich history, blend of Rajasthani and Mughal architecture and beautiful handicrafts.

The place is famous for Samode Palace which is a masterpiece of Rajasthani and Mughal architectural blend. The palace which belongs to the Rawals of Samode, is now a heritage hotel. It has a rich history of four centuries and is an exquisite example of engineering and craftsmanship, with its architectural beauty and floral and geometrical motifs. Right above the palace, just over the hills, lays the great Samode Fort. The fort itself is in ramshackle but the remnants offer beautiful view of ancient Aravallis. Other places to visit in Samode are the hall of mirrors and Samode Bagh.

The tourists can also take a camel ride at day time to enjoy the countryside and listen to the Samode folk music and songs by Rajasthani bards and musicians. It is also a great place to shop for beautiful handicrafts.

Samode is well connected by roads with Jaipur. The tourist can take a flight to land Jaipur’s Sanganer AirportĀ or can travel to Jaipur by train or bus.
