Day 01: Arrive at Yangon (D)
The charismatic tour to Myanmar starts from Yangon city which was previously referred as Rangoon. It’s a quiet harmonious yet extensively charming city which hosts an array of shady parks, stunning lakes, and lush tropical trees. With the most impressive scenic expedition it is the melting unit of diversified cultures and religions, settlement and communities. Colonial architecture, Buddhist pagodas and high rise structures are some key attractions of lifestyle here. The tour begins by reaching Yangon International Airport where our representative will be awaiting to escort you to the hotel. After freshening up, set out for Kandawgyi Park which is located in central part of the city. With a large lake in the backdrop of Shwedagon views this is an excellent park to unwind and relax. Leaving from here drop down at Shwe Pa Zun downtown to enjoy some delicious ice cream at down.
Later drive off to boat jetty where a cruise on the Yangon River experiencing the sunset is truly amazing. At night return back to hotel for dinner and night stay.
Day 02: Yangon – Heho – Kalaw
Post breakfast the second day tour begins by visiting the Shwedagon Pagoda. This is one of the famous pious locations of the city. For the kids there are plenty of activities to be enjoyed and keep them entertained during the visit. After the visit, set off to explore the monk market nearby to fetch hands on some of the exclusive items. From here it’s a drive to Mahawizaya temple where it’s beautiful architecture to enjoy and where the kids can have fun feeding the fishes. The next halt is at Bogyoke Market also famous with the name of Scott market. Enjoy the availability of local goods here and if the enthusiastic mind permits do invest on longyi,(skirt for men and women) which is a traditional local dress here.
After lunch set out for the airport and board a flight for Heho and then from there straight away take a drive to Kalaw. On the way enjoy the majestically beautiful nature and the small settlement spread across of minority villages which makes the landscape truly captivating. On arrival, check in a hotel for night stay.
Day 03: Kalaw – Elephant Camp
Having a healthy breakfast, set out to visit Magwe Elephant Camp, located only a few kilometers away from the hotel. On reaching there, walk down towards the banks of the river to check out the elephants up close and help them bathe. For the adventurous vacationers there are option of having an elephant ride to know the place better. After lunch at the camp enjoy activities like planting trees and engulf the beauty of the forestland. After having an entertaining day take a drive back to Kalaw for refreshment and night stay.
Day 04: Kalaw – NyaungShwe – Inle Lake
The journey for the fourth day is even more interesting and eye arresting since the Way to Inle Lake comprises of breathtaking scenic visions all the way through. The day begins after enjoying some delicious breakfast at the hotel and then setting out on a drive to NyaungShwe from where you will be asked to have a motor boat ride over the lake to the hotel. The villages here are built on stilts and remains inhabited by Intha people. Know up close the living style and conditions of these people and move forward to visit PhaungDawOo Pagoda which is the principal sanctuary in this region and have five beautiful pious images of Lord Buddha in a elaborate golden leaf. Reach the hotel and stay overnight at Inle Lake.
Day 05: Inle Lake – Indein
The fifth day tour begins by hiring a private boat for the scheduled sightseeing activities in Indein. The first halt down the canal would be a small village named Pa- oh. Stroll through the beautiful pathways of the village and explore Alaung Sitthou which is a pictorial location filled historic stupas of different size and shapes. The next stop is the Inthar Heritage House which serves as an ideal knowledge sharing center about the lifestyle and culture of people living on the lake. A key attraction of this place is the Burmese cats staying here. After the visit return back to hotel for dinner and night stay.
Day 06: Inle Lake- Heho-Bagan
One of the best and the most arresting attraction is the morning market of the lake area. So the tour for the sixth day starts after breakfast by visiting the lake market which is famous for selling handicraft, hilly costumes and daily use items. The next halt on the boat ride would be Kaung Dhine village which is known for the splendid local cuisines made of soya, tofu and local vegetables. After sightseeing, travel straight to Nyaung Shwe from where avail the drive to Heho Airport. Here board a flight for Nyaung U. On arrival our representative will guide to a hotel in Bagan which is around 20 minutes from the airport area. After check in take the rest of the day off for relaxation and leisure activities. Stay overnight at the hotel
Day 07: Bagan Sightseeing
Bagan is one of the key tourist destinations with a spectacular view of more than 2000 stupas built in different times in different ages. Post breakfast, the first destination of the day is Nyaung U market where local toys and handicraft items and weaved goods are quite popular. Fetching a tri rickshaw visit the nearby village where village people remains busy preparing poneyaygyi and plum jam. After fetching some glimpses of culture and lifestyle of people based here, it’s time for visiting the sacred temples based here. The first halt would be Shwezigon Pagoda, which is known to be the most prominent temple with Golden stupa and nat statues in the city. After this, visit KyanSitthar Cave temple, Ananda with smiling Buddhas, Shwegugyi, and Lawkanandar Sanctuary where their lives the amazing star tortoise. In the evening take a cruise ride to Irrawaddy to watch the beautiful sunset. Transfer back to hotel for dinner and night stay.
Day 08: Bagan Sightseeing- Mt Popa
Post breakfast set out to visit the temples on a horse cart ride and the leisurely ride. After sightseeing the temples, drive to Mt Popa for some beautiful scenic experience. On arrival at the resort, check in and then relax. Enjoy the beautiful ambience of forestland and green landscape along with excellent flora and fauna making it an ideal spot for relaxation with friends and family. Stay overnight at the hotel
Day 09: Mt Popa- Nyaung U –Yangon
The day begins leisurely by enjoying a delicious and mouth melting breakfast at the resort. After breakfast, set out to visit Mt Popa that houses a famous nat shrine. Enjoy the walk to the top along with other devotees and experience the peaceful ambience of the place. The view atop is marvelous and captivating in true terms. After sightseeing, take a drive back to Bagan and then to Nyaung U airport. Here board a flight back to Yangon. On arrival, check in a hotel and spent the rest of the day in leisure. Enjoy dinner and night stay at the hotel
Day 10: Departure
Being the last day of the tour, pack your luggage’s for travelling to Yangon Airport in the morning. Post breakfast, take a drive to the airport area and from there board a flight for homeland. However if one wants the tour can be extended for one more day with beach break extension. Here the schedule for the day would be to travel to the coast at NgweSaung. And then to Pathein town where the local markets can to visited to enjoy handicraft works and exclusive pottery items. Post lunch, enjoy a beach tour and the elephant camp where the elephant ride is extremely entertaining. Spend as many days as you prefer in Ngwesaung before returning back to Yangon.
