Corbett City Information Guide

We all have heard about Jim Corbett National Park; have memorised this name several times during our geography studies. Yet, few amazing facts are not known. Corbett National Park, located in Uttarakhand is the oldest wild life sanctuary and tiger reserve in India. It was constituted in the year 1936, and today it is the home for over 50 different species of mammals, 110 varieties of flora and fauna, 25 species of reptiles and almost 580 species of Birds.

Corbett’s Tiger Project is the most esteemed venture initiated in the country to preserve the Royal Tigers of India.

The national park is cocooned in meadow covered hills with meandering paths leading to gorgeous lake and also proffers the privilege of overnight stay to experience night elephant safari and early morning open jeep tour.

The Park is so huge that it is divided in to 5 zones for the convenience of the Tourists; they are Bijrani Safari, Jhirna Safari, Dhela Safari, Dhikhala and Durga Devi Zones. The ideal season to stopover in the park is during June to November and booking must be done 90 days prior to your arrival to avail maximum service
